Contact UsThe University of Queensland (UQ) node of the Australian Plant Phenomics Network spans both the St Lucia and Gatton campuses, providing advanced facilities for plant phenotyping and agricultural research. This node is developing specialized platforms, including a controlled environment lysimeter at St Lucia and a temperature-controlled greenhouse at Gatton, set for completion in late 2025, to study crop responses under various climate conditions. Equipped with UAVs, multispectral imaging, 3D modeling, and sensor networks, the UQ node supports detailed crop analysis, from canopy to root phenotyping, and high-throughput phenotyping processes. With a skilled team of data engineers, modelers, and field technicians, the UQ node is dedicated to supporting researchers and advancing scientific knowledge in agricultural resilience and adaptation.
At APPN-UQ, we are proud to provide our collaborating researchers with access to a wide range of advanced tools and equipment designed to enhance agricultural phenotyping research. Our offerings include high-resolution phenotyping devices, satellite data services via Planet & Google Earth Engine, and cutting-edge UAV models equipped for comprehensive field analysis. Researchers can also take advantage of our specialized greenhouses, including the Cravo Greenhouse and the traditional Glasshouse, for controlled environment studies. Additionally, our field cameras ensure precise data capture across various terrains, while the Dino Lite Microscope allows for detailed analysis at the microscopic level. These tools are available for loan to support your research and drive innovation in agricultural science.
